Miley Cyrus seems to be bringing back the mullet trend with her recent partnership as an ambassador for Gucci’s latest fragrance. In the advertisement campaign, she showcased her edgy choppy haircut, which she first revealed to her fans on July 27 through an Instagram post. The photo, taken on a beach, captured Cyrus sitting on rocks while holding the new perfume in her hand. Although the picture was beautiful, it didn’t offer a clear view of her haircut. However, another campaign image showed off the different layers of her hairstyle.
Cyrus’s mullet featured shorter pieces of bleached-blonde hair that covered her forehead, while longer wisps of hair fell at her upper back. The side-swept wispy fringe reached her eyebrows’ length when fully straight. While her hair was predominantly blonde, careful observation revealed her brunette roots peeking through. Interestingly, her arched eyebrows matched her roots, creating a striking contrast with the rest of her bright blonde locks. This isn’t the first time Cyrus has delved into the mullet territory. She initially debuted this dramatic hairstyle in January 2020. Back then, her haircut was longer, and much of her natural brown hair had grown out. She sported the ’80s-inspired cut just before it experienced a resurgence in popularity. Therefore, it’s possible that her newest haircut is an indication that the modern mullet will once again become a trending hairstyle.
