Florence Pugh Wholeheartedly Embraces Her New “Mayor of Flavortown” Appearance

Since cutting her hair short in May, Florence Pugh has been experimenting with different colors as it grows out. Her buzz cut has seen shades of pink and orange, but most recently, she bleached it blonde, giving off major Billy Idol vibes. However, Pugh herself believes that her current hairstyle resembles another famous star with spiky, tow-headed hair. She shared a couple of slides on her Instagram Stories, featuring a still selfie and a selfie video, where she rocks an intricately embroidered black sweater, starfish earrings, cat-eye sunglasses, neon nail polish, and of course, her bleached-blonde, super-short hair. It’s this hairdo that inspired her caption: “Sometimes when I get out of the shower I look like Guy Fieri and I love it.” Now, personally, I don’t quite see the resemblance between Pugh and the TV host turned restaurateur, even though they share a similar hairstyle (although Pugh’s hair seems less slicked back). However, since this selfie appears to have been taken in a car rather than right after a shower, perhaps we’re not getting the full effect. In the next slide, Pugh continues writing, “Just saying… could be the new mayor of flavor town.” Gotta appreciate the British spelling. “Or should I say ‘Flo’ver town.” Absolutely, you should. In my opinion, there’s great potential for a franchise or collaboration here. Remember when Pugh used to do “Cooking With Flo” segments on Instagram? Having her and Guy Fieri in the same kitchen, with their matching blonde spikes, would be an unstoppable force.
