Dylan Mulvaney: Inarguably Ice Queen Barbie

The hype surrounding Barbie memes, Barbiecore, and the overwhelming presence of all things pink may have subsided a bit since Barbie’s release in late July. However, it seems that dolls are still everywhere you look. When I came across Dylan Mulvaney’s stunning look at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event on August 10, I couldn’t help but think of her as the Ice Queen Barbie. While pink is typically associated with Barbie, Mulvaney opted for a monochromatic blue ensemble that perfectly complemented her wavy blonde ponytail and blue makeup. Her bright blonde locks were elegantly curled and tied up in a sleek high ponytail, with waves cascading down towards her mid-back. The base of her ponytail was concealed with a section of blonde hair, adding a touch of sophistication. What truly made this ponytail stand out, in my humble opinion, was the beautiful spiral of hair that framed her face, gently touching her shoulders. However, it was her monochromatic blue eye makeup that took this look to another level. Her baby blue-rimmed eyes, paired with a bright blue cat eye, instantly reminded me of the beloved Blue from Blue’s Clues. Even her lashes seemed to have a hint of blue, particularly on the lower lashes. It’s clear that Mulvaney has mastered the art of flawless makeup and stunning hair, and I can’t help but be excited to see what look she graces us with next.
